We're committed to take sustainability in print to the next level.
That's why, we've made several significant changes to our premises and production processes in order to operate more sustainably.
Here's a timeline of what we've achieved so far...

March 2025 - As at Kamset's year end 30 March 2025, we are proud to have 6 x 100% electric company vehicles, 3 x 100% Electric forklift trucks, 4 x diesel vans and 1 x petrol pool car - improving our Scope 1 emissions slowly but surely.
February 2025 - owner of Kamset exchanged a hybrid company car for a 100% electric car with zero carbon emissions - powered by both Kamset’s solar panels, and their own home office rooftop solar panels.

December 2024 - we requested a review of our Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) after all the improvements we had made throughout 2024 and were over the moon with an almost carbon net zero rating of A1 for our Kamset House (in 2017 it was C65) https://find-energy-certificate.service.gov.uk/energy-certificate/5499-1238-1015-1009-8851 the inspector was especially impressed with the live automated function system we were able to show him of our energy generation/usage and our heat/cooling air flow systems.
November 2024 – The SBTi’ validation service has assessed our SME science-based target data for the Science Based Targets initiative’s Call to Action. After careful review they have approved the setting of our targets and we are proud to announce we are Scope 2 - Carbon Net Zero. We are working hard to reduce our Scope 1 emissions having already purchased 5 electric vehicles powered by our rooftop solar panels, and have committed to reduce Scope 3 even though as an SME as at 2024 this is voluntary, for us, we have chosen to include them - many of our clients and suppliers are on the same journey, and we’re committed to making progress together.
November 2024 - A new recruitment company planted a tree for life for us as a gift for our first order with them.
October 2024 – We started producing a document recording the kW value of every piece of electrical equipment we have at Kamset – with a view to looking at each item to identify any items that could be updated and replaced with more energy efficient products and to check each for wasteful energy usage of each item.
September 2024 - We submitted documentation for review by SBTI awaiting approval and a Science Based Target.
June 2024 - Using battery storage technology we will be capturing excess solar energy generated during the day and at weekends to power Kamset during the night, completion due mid-June 2024.
June 2024 - We completed installation of an additional 110kW rooftop solar array a total of 160kW powering a significant percentage of our expanded operations here at Kamset.
June 2024 - We started recycling our old electrical goods with B&Q.
April 2024 - Owner of Kamset exchanged a 7 year old petrol company car for a fully 100% electric car with zero carbon emissions - powered by Kamset's and their home office rooftop solar panels.
April 2024 - Owners of Kamset installed roof top solar panels to power home office plus their company electric car and hybrid car.

December 2023 - During 2023 one employee invested in purchasing a hybrid car, 4 employees cycled to work, 2 employees walk to work.
November 2023 - Owner of Kamset exchanged a 10 year old second hand company vehicle for a Hybrid with carbon emissions 28g/km
August 2023 - Installed intelligent Electric Van chargers that only charge when there is excess solar, ie no grid consumption.
July 2023 - Purchased our 4th Electric Van for deliveries and installation teams
June 2023 - Purchased ELECTRIC forklift for our new Storage facility.
February 2023 - Purchased another ELECTRIC fork lift vehicle as backup to our existing forklift
January 2023 - We now use natural weather conditions to heat and cool internal areas, ie cold air from outside drawn in to cool our central communications room and the heat from this room is directed into the production area with the innovative use of ducting and fans, eliminating the need for air conditioning in the comms room and reducing the amount of heating and cooling required in the production room for much of the year.

December 2022 - Updated IT Servers to energy-efficient servers - retiring old server technology.
July 2022 - Purchased our third ELECTRIC van - Long Wheelbase for larger deliveries - powered by our rooftop solar panels.
June 2022 - Purchased a larger Electric forklift to replace our old Electric forklift.
March 2022 - Purchased a high quality flat bed state of the art, leading-edge printer - lowest and most efficient energy useage of all the large-format 3.2m wide printers on the market today.

December 2021 - We purchased our second ELECTRIC van Citroen Despatch - powered by our rooftop solar panels.
August 2021 - We proudly added our first fully ELECTRIC delivery and installation van to our vehicle fleet, providing emission-free, eco-friendly installations and deliveries. Furthermore, we're powering it from the sun's natural energy via our 5,000sqft of rooftop solar panels!

March 2020 - as Covid-19 disrupted the United Kingdom, we made a brave decision to continue forward with our investment in two brand new leading edge printers, holding the same LED cold ink curing technology, however running on only half the wattage of our previous printers!
January 2020 - we partnered with Forest Carbon the UK's number 1 in capturing carbon emissions and creating new permanent woodlands. By mitigating the impact of our greenhouse gas emissions and investing in Forest Carbon’s projects, we can restore the balance by making a contribution for the wider environment to benefit.
